Foreign buyers
Progreso sits in the restricted zone.
That is not an obstacle.
Any property within fifty kilometres of the coast is bought through a bank trust, a fideicomiso. It is the same mechanism every foreign buyer on the Mexican coast uses, it is provided for in law, and it is settled before the deed is signed. We walk you through each step.

A Mexican bank acts as trustee. A fifty year term, renewable.

A developer based in Mérida, trading since 2020. Ikonic Tower is its oceanfront project in Progreso: seventy eight residences, twelve floors and rooftop amenities above the boardwalk.
